Garrett's Top Ten Things To Do
1. Enjoy your morning coffee in the rocking chairs on the beautiful wood deck while enjoying the mountain air and views of the Blue Ridge Mountains

2. Walk up the gravel road to Mountain Cove Farm and then walk the loop of roads through the farm to see the peak of Little Pisgah Mountain

3. Drive to the Bat Cave Post Office to pick up the morning paper, and don’t forget your quarters!

4. Visit Asheville, North Carolina, where “normal is weird.”

5. Head to Larkin’s on the Lake and Bayfront Bar and Grill (Highway 64/74 at Highway 9) for lunch or dinner on Lake Lure.

6. See where Hollywood and the Blue Ridge Mountains intersect. Take a pontoon boat tour from the Lake Lure Marina to see where “Dirty Dancing” was filmed. Then, go up to Chimney Rock to see the filming location for “Last of the Mohicans.”

7. Enjoy a delicious breakfast at Genny’s Home Cooking in Chimney Rock, North Carolina. Sit on the deck that expands over the Rocky Broad River. (But remember that Genny’s is closed on Sundays!)

8. Take a day and visit the beautiful Biltmore Estate and Winery just outside of Asheville. Each season features special festivals.  The Festival of Flowers in Spring and Christmas at Biltmore are highly recommended.  Christmas Candlelight tours require reservations.  You can also go horseback riding, biking or rafting on the property.

9. Have dinner at Rezaz in Biltmore Village, which is near the entrance to the Biltmore Estate. Rezaz is a delicious restaurant that features gourmet Mediterranean fare. Reservations are highly recommended. For an extra special treat, see if you can get a chef’s table in the kitchen so you can watch the amazing chefs create your gourmet meal before your eyes.

10. Sit back and relax.
