Every guest should take a day and visit the beautiful Biltmore Estate and Winery just outside of Asheville. George Vanderbilt completed this French-Renaissance inspired chateau in 1895. With four acres of living space under on roof, it is widely considered to be the largest private estate in the United States. The home features a 70,000 gallon indoor swimming pool, an indoor bowling alley, and a two-story library among other luxuries. The grounds are equally impressive and were designed by Frederick Law Olmstead, who also designed New York City’s Central Park.
Go tubing on the Green River! Just 45 minutes from the vacation home is one of the best tubing rivers you’ll find. Floating down the river can be one of the best summertime activities there is. Make sure to call first to check on conditions, as the river flow is dam controlled.
